Maintenance Technician – Saskatchewan

Opportunity

AcuFast is currently looking for a highly-motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Maintenance Technician, across our Saskatchewan locations. This is a new position and will report directly to the Maintenace Manager. The successful candidate would ideally live in the surrounding communities, but foreign recruits are welcome to apply as we hire through the Saskatchewan Immigration Nomination Program (SINP).

This position will include the following responsibilities and essential job functions:

• Work with the Maintenace Manager to prioritize work order completion based on urgency and work with the Barn Manager to ensure the provisions of safe, timely, and efficient service.
• Complete routine and preventative maintenance and respond to calls on a variety of equipment ranging from heating, ventilation and plumbing, welding, carpentry, and troubleshooting several assets.
• Work outside and inside the production facility.
• Adhere to all SOPs, biosecurity, and health and safety.
• Ensure proper operations and maintenance of all barn equipment.
• Respond to ER situations and work on an on-call rotation, as required, for after hour call-outs.
• Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Effective time management with a clear focus to attain results.
• Able to manage priorities and solve problems.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrates a strong technical sense and understanding of equipment operations and maintenance.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field or position.
• Class 5 driver’s license.
• Shares in AcuFast’ core values.
